Papillon Riding Stables was founded by Sigrid Schaerf in 1994.
Sigrid began riding in her native country of Germany at the age of 5, and migrated to Australia when she was 18.
Sigrid trained with Tina Wommelsdorf (one of Australia’s most successful dressage riders and instructor) for five years, leading her to compete with her horse, Papillon, at Prix St George level.
Sigrid's Australian working background includes working for the Randwick Equine Centre, where she found her passion in instructing, leading her to open Papillon Riding Stables in the following years.
In September 2003, Sigrid trained both the horses and riders of the Chinese Regional Equestrian team in Beijing.
Papillon Riding Stables' key objective is building the harmony, communication and understanding between the horse and rider.
